A New Years Gift Idea!

Here is a fast, simple and very sweet hostess gift!
We do not drink alcohol, so I will be giving a nice bottle of Matinellis Sparkling Cider. I added a vintage postcard image I printed out on heavy cardstock & tied it on with ribbon.
Now you are ready to go celebrate the New Year!

Here is a sweet image you can print out if you would like!

Thank you so much for coming by this year to say hello and becoming my friend!
It touches my heart deeply!

Wishing you a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A Child is Born

Grandchildren Blake & Hailey (cousins)
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is
Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
May you have a blessed Merry Christmas!

Angels Among Us

Here is the decorated Mother's Tree I promised to show you!
I have been setting up this sweet Christmas tree in honor of my Mother Gloria & hubby's Mother LaVerne for a few years now. They both have passed away but are remembered fondly and greatly missed. The little ornaments hung remind me of their love for the Lord, love for family & friends and the special things they loved! They were loving, caring, giving, fun ladies!
Our Mother's were very good friends and I know they still are in heaven!

We know that we have angels among us and two of them are named Gloria and LaVerne.

Merry Christmas sweet angels! Gloria LOVED Tea Parties! We dressed up every time in sweet vintage hats, vintage jewelry and vintage gloves and ate to our hearts content. The laughter was sweet music to my ears and I now hold those memories close to my heart.

This little angel is from Paris, France!
She was given to me by my dear friend Anne C. of Texas!
She went to PARIS last year! Imagine! Oh, la la!

They were sweet as candy!
They were busy bee's in their community and church!

(same city and same church!)
They shined like diamonds!

They had many friends and warmed our hearts forever!

Memories of the family cabin in Big Bear, CA and playing in the snow!

They both loved roses but LaVerne loved orchids more!

LaVerne loved humming birds!

They both loved PINK! Now I know why I love pink!

Oh, how they were loved and now, greatly missed!

Merry Christmas to you & yours!

The Stockings Are Hung...

with love and care!
A few more pictures of the Family Room/Great Room. See all those red Christmas stockings? 21 of them to be exact! Well, I made all of them and they have the names of all our children, their spouses and our grandchildren on them. I used German glass glitter which gets a pretty patina with age. Each year the stockings get filled to the brim with sweetness and they all come over on CHRISTMAS DAY to open them! It is a very special part of our traditions. Before opening their stockings and other gifts, we sing carols, then have the grandchildren sing, play their instruments and entertain us! So sweet! Then Grandpa Don reads the Christmas Story of Christ's Birth and the Grandchildren act out the Nativity! We cherish and look forward to it every year.

One more post before Christmas will be my special "Mother's" Christmas tree! A vintage glass topper. Our Gingerbread & Snowman tree.I made all the sock snowman & the wood garland.
I bought this darling banner from Becky at
Sweet Cottage Dreams ! Made out of a vintage tablecloth.
My sweet little Angel tree with handmade ornaments from family & friends.
Some decor throughout the family room.A family heirloom Santa from the 1940's.
