Tealight Holders For My Trees!

Since I wrote the paragraph below, I took some night pictures of the tealights and half of my front porch. I will be painting all the brown trim WHITE very soon. Just a little face~lift until we can paint the entire house. During the early evenings or cool late afternoons I have been found asleep on either of the two wicker couches with a crochet hook & yarn in my hand! I made some little tealight holders to hang in my trees today out of canning jars. If the winds are up I will use battery tealights but most of the time the regular tealights are perfect. This is the first batch of many I will make! I want them in the front yard and back yard for the pretty evenings we have been having. Just adds a little whimsy.
Simple to make and cute as a button (jar)! Yesterday I worked in the front yard flower bed...more rose trees to plant and some flowers. Love getting my hands in the dirt!

Something Sweet!

What month is it? April?! It is warm today in California, 98 degrees! Cooling trend on it's way. I did a little gardening this morning and now waiting for it to cool down to go back out and get my hands in the dirt again.
As I walked in the house I saw something "sweet" I thought I would share with you!
(Love my little pretend cupcakes!)

I found this pretty set of dishes at a antique store many years ago.

I have had many tea parties using them...

Wishing you a wonderful day! xox

Happy Easter to You!

I love springtime, and Easter is such a wonderful time of the year!
This year we have all our children and grandchildren coming home for Easter...all 21 of us!
I am always in the craft room dreaming up something to give to my daughters. This year I made them some vintage postcard signs embellished with glass glitter. The average sign measures 11"x8" and a few smaller.
I printed out vintage postcard graphics and layered them 3 times for strength and this is what I came up with!
I am going to make some sweet everyday signs for my Etsy store when company leaves...but I don't want them to leave! xox

A little peek into our little quest powder room! Yes, a chandelier with candles!

I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and for His Atoning Sacrifice!

Wishing you a wonderful Easter!

Bird Nest Cloche

As promised, this is one of the cloches I bought! I love the softness a cloche makes a setting. I used one of my antique crystal candy dishes with a pedestal to bring the little bird nest higher up and a dainty vintage platter to hold it all in place. For now, I have it sitting on my dining room hutch. I love cloches! Hugs!

What Girls do Best!

Now that I am back into the swing of things and thank you for the sweet "get well wishes"...I had a wonderful day in Old Town Riverside where the famous Mission Inn Hotel is with friends shopping, chit chatting and eating! What girls do best! Thought I would share with you some of the pictures I took in a really nice store. I bought some pretty glass cloches that I will take pictures of tomorrow and post them. I have always wanted some!
A successful girls day out on the town! Hugs,

Jell-O and Tomato Soup!

The "bug" caught up with me today and I thought I was running fast for it not to catch me!
So when I am not feeling my best, strawberry Jell-O and tomato soup are my favorites!
The simple little comfort foods that helps me mend.
What do you like to eat when the bug has you down? I will be in the "swing" of things real soon! Love,
