Busy, December Fun

A busy, fun month for sure!

Even tho it's a "baby it's cold outside"
kind of day, this Cali gal loves to go barefoot.

Loving my farm girl apron, and buttery soft leggings from LulaRoe!
Above is the gatherings I put together for
"Winter in a Box"!
A reminder … I give my 4 girls a surprise box
each season of goodies!

Last post was their "Fall" box.
I have so much fun making this one up, and
they LOVED them!
Above is our ever~changing front porch!
Ready to WELCOME guest for Winter and Christmas.

It is like an extra room to our home.
We love being out here year round.
In my family room we have a large fireplace,
but the living room needed one.

I am loving this vintage faux fireplace I just added recently!
I bought the electric log/heater to go with it,
and it looks and works amazingly!
Warm & cozy day or night.
The above pillow(s) brings back such fond memories!
Each Christmas we would load the kids up in our Grand Jeep Wagoneer,
and go cut down our Christmas tree.
After tying the tree to the top of the car,
we had a tailgate picnic and sang Christmas carols all the way home!
Each year I hang the Christmas stockings I made over the last several years I post about each year
 for our …

 4 married children &
14 grandchildren!

It just warms my heart.
I love my family.
Here is my stocking.

I made them out of red felt and used
German glass glitter to write each name.
The glitter glass has a beautiful patina that ages more each year.
My daughter Heidi is a LulaRoe consultant and had a lovely
open~house in her beautiful home last week.

Of course I am her #1 fan & customer!
That's me behind the camera all decked out in LulaRoe!
My little fur babies Sammie girl (13 yrs. now) and
Charlie dog (10 yrs. on the other side of me)
are also with me!

Feeling the Christmas spirit as I get ready
to go do my Visiting Teaching!
Yes, LulaRoeing all the way!
My adorable Granddaughter Ashley came by to say hello today!
She just got in to CA from UT. She is getting married
2 days after Christmas in the San Diego Temple to handsome Jacob!
We are so excited for her!

Can you see her Christmas stocking hanging?!
Still loving my little 13 foot,
1957 vintage trailer year round!
This little gal is parked on the side of our home.

ButtonWillow always warms my heart!

Wishing you a Merry Christmas
and a
Blessed New Year!

Maryjane- I just LOVE coming here to visit. You are fun and full-of-life and love for your family. It comes through in every post. I love the seasonal boxes you give to your girls every year. I do something similar but was never smart enough to make it into a gift box. I may just steal that idea.
God bless you and your sweet family during this Merriest of seasons. xo Diana

Very much enjoyed your post - where did you find the fireplace insert? I have a vintage fireplace, but the log does not work. Merry Christmas & have a wonderful time at the wedding!

Mary Jane,
I loved your idea of a seasonal box! I went out yesterday and bought items for my 3 girls and my sister. What fun! I already have a ton of things swimming around in my head for spring boxes. Thanks for the great idea!

What a wonderful post! Thank you so much for opening up your private thoughts and life to all. I especially want to thank you for creating Farmgirl Sisterhood, I have learned so many wonderful things and it has created an abundance of opportunity for me. Merry Christmas!
