Made Some Original Pincushions!

I am "sew" excited about these sweet pincushions I have been working on for Christmas gifts and for my

And happy to say they are original!
I have wanted to make some pincushions, and I have been making fabric yoyo's for years...
so I put the 2 together!
They remind me of yummy pastries!
They are a great size (13 1/2" round by 3" tall) and take up my hand when holding them. They are lined.
Filled with crushed walnut shells to keep pins sharp.
I buy from a wonderful company, dust free.
No fiber~fill here!
Make great gifts!
Anyhoo, just had to share!
Will be making lots more for my Etsy Shop.
A blogger asked if my little
Singer Featherweight works?
She sure does!
 Love making them!
Have a wonderful day!

Love the pincushions. Also, the sewing machine. Do you use it (does it work)? I just got one like it and am having trouble getting the tension just right. Any suggestions? Thanks for sharing all your creations!!

Adorable!!! What a great idea about the crushed walnut shells to keep pins sharp.
BTW...I'm taking my late mother-in-law's featherweight to get it tune up and hopefully is still working. I'm dying to sew on it!

Absolutely adorable! I also loved the towels you made with the ruffles. Have you thought about selling tutorials for these projects in your Etsy shop?
