Sisters Called To Serve!

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
~Joshua 24:15

I just had to share some exciting news with you!
My two oldest grandchildren Ashley and Kelsey whom are sisters are going on missions for
our church The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
These sweet granddaughters are 17 months apart. They will leave on the same day and return 18 months later on the same day.
They are such sweet girls and we know they will serve the Lord with a happy heart!
Ashley will serve in the Texas Houston South Mission
and
Kelsey will serve in the Washington Kennewick Mission.
Both of their missions are Spanish speaking!
~
They are very close.
Sunday was their farewell at church and open house in their home.
My daughter Shelli's dear friend Sarah S. made these amazing cupcakes!
~
There was tons of food but the cupcakes were my favorite!
Shelli even made a candy bar!
The house had Texas and Washington colors and memorabilia everywhere!
It was a beautiful day!
 Ashley and Kelsey,
I love you to pieces and will miss you like crazy!
I know there are many people waiting to hear the Lords plan
and will open their doors for you with open arms.
God be with you until we meet again...in 18 months!
You are my hero's!

My son and daughter, although different ages, also served missions at the same time. It was so fun to have two missionaries out at once!

Aw, how sweet! Love the girls' hearts for missions and how they are both leaving at the same time and coming back together yet going their separate ways.

What a FUN party! LOVE the idea of the color themes, too cute~

Hi Maryjane,
God has blessed them and will keep then safe. Growing up I had many friends leave on their mission. In those days we wrote letters no email..LOL.
I know you are going to miss them.
Sending hugs, Elizabeth

It is so touching to see their shining eyes and faces. So many of our young people have taken the courage to increase the mission numbers. I will have 2 leaving this year (my son and daughter). It is really exciting and humbling to me.

My dear,
I found your blog by chance, while peeking others and I decided to check it out! I’m glad I did it, because I am really delighted with yours. It's beautiful, well structured, interesting… and it has completely got me hooked. I think we're going to get along just fine! ;) I'd like to invite you to meet my space as well and I hope you'll have as much fun as I am having in yours!
I wish you lots of success

Julie, you have the most beautiful grandchildren ever ... these young ladies are gorgeous. How proud you must be & what a wonderful mission they will have serving the Lord for your church. Kennewick WA isn't that far from where we were raised ... May they both have experiences to carry them for a lifetime. Safety & prayers as they take this step forward. Lovely party ...

hugs,
TTFN ~ Marydon

Maryjane, I know we haven't talked in awhile but I just happened to come across this post and I couldn't help myself but to comment. Oh My Gosh, it seems like it was not that long ago you were buying them litle girl Christmas presents and now they are all grown up and going on a Mission. How proud the whole Bigler family must be of them. They have become such beautiful daughters of Heavenly Father. What an exciting time for your family!
