Always Enough Eggs!

Even with just 2 hens in our little flock, we always have enough eggs! We look forward to each morning of clucking and joyful announcements when one has laid her egg.

Here, Flossie is nesting while Gracie looks on.
Their eggs range from large to x-large!
WooHoo!
Just had to show off my girls with you!

Have a wonderful Fall day!

Such beautiful big eggs from lovely hens! My mother is toying with the idea of having a couple of chickens. I'm going to send her to your blog for encouragement!

Our hens are three years old and have stopped laying. i haven't had an egg in about 6 weeks. Oh how I miss them! Time for new chicks in the spring! I love the barred rock breed like you have, they are so pretty:>)

I keep touting the wonders of chickens to my daughter. She's not buying it yet. I guess I need to check the city ordinances too. Those eggs are just beautiful!

I can't have any lovely ladies like these where we live right now, but boy do I hope to one day soon! Their eggs are like little works of art.

Maryjane,
Those eggs are HUGE!
Your Flossie looks like my Buttercup who is a Rhode Island Red. (I am worried about this one being a Rooster!) And your Gracie looks like my Pickles who is a Barred Rock. I am so excited for mine to get bigger and start laying eggs! Right now they are still small and cute enough to pick up and kiss to death!! LOL

If it's the last thing I achieve in life, it's to have a few hens. Yours are lovely and so are those eggs!

Love the brown eggs!! Not so funny story....we have 8 roosters...Saturday my husband went in to collect the eggs and one of them attacked him. Flew right into his face....claws out!!! He got a couple really good scratches in before my husband hit him to the ground. We are going to butcher the roosters for this reason. They sure can be aggressive!!

I prefer fresh eggs from chic, not from the store. Plus brown eggs are prettier.
