Our Stake is having our "International Peace Day" celebration on 9/11. I've been asked to speak on the topic of peace. I do think the gospel of Jesus Christ can offer us great peace in troubling times like the ones in which we live.

Mary Jane -- it was a day that stopped everything. Life really has never been the same. My 10 year old, who wasn't even 1 year then, has such a curiosity about it. Sunday will be a day of remembrance. Joni

I do remember! Phoenix will be turning all the lights out tomorrow night and 2 beams of light will be shining into the night sky.

I can't believe it has been 10 years.

I am originally from New York, they did so well. Two firemen from my hometown lost their lives. So sad, so sad - I pray for all the families who were impacted.

I do remember also. I haven't been to NY since 9/11, but have wonderful memories of visiting the WTC on a number of occasions. I will be posting a picture on my blog tomorrow.
