Easy Cherry Cobbler
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
21-oz. can cherry pie filling
Place butter in an 8"x8" glass baking pan; set in a 325 degree oven to melt. ( I melted mine on the stove in the dutch oven on low). Combine sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk; mix well with a wire whisk. Pour over melted butter; do not stir. Spoon pie filling on top of batter; again, do not mix. Bake at 325 degrees for about an hour, until golden.
Serve warm. Makes 6 servings.
Have a wonderful week! xox

I first started making this recipe when I was a teenager. We called it "quick" cobbler. I still make it today, usually with peaches and a dusting of cinnamon on top. It is ALWAYS good! Thanks for sharing.

How cool is that! The crust comes to the top, and the cherries sink.
No calories right? :)
Have a great week! Karen
This has been a favorite of mine for many years. We've always called it mountain pie.
I love this recipe. I've made it in a dutch oven when we've been camping. I wish I had some right now! So sorry you won't be having your boutique. These things happen. Annie's kind of relieved since they made her YW president a few weeks ago. She's crazy busy right now. Have a great week. Mimi

My favorite! Thanks mom. ♥
My Mom just to make this for Daddy all the time...using peaches. He would say, long after supper was over, "Mildred, can you make me something sweet?". And that quick cobbler is what she would make. :)
