Yesterday after going to HomeGoods (one of my favorite places) I was taking tags off the new towels to wash with my homemade laundry soap, then throwing each one to my side. I happened to look down and there he was cuddled in the towels! My camera is always close by, so I was able to get a shot of him.
Little sister Sammie dog was close by too watching silly Charlie!
I love these little polka dot hand towels. The 2 rugs are for my kitchen and I love the frilly french shabby chic ruffles sewn into the rugs. Soft lemon yellow for spring!
It's always nice to have someone giving a helping hand (paw)! ;)
If you need an idea for a easy dessert for the week, here ya go! I posted this a couple years ago but good enough to re~post! Enjoy!
Easy Cherry Cobbler
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
21-oz. can cherry pie filling
Place butter in an 8"x8" glass baking pan; set in a 325 degree oven to melt. ( I melted mine on the stove in the dutch oven on low). Combine sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk; mix well with a wire whisk. Pour over melted butter; do not stir. Spoon pie filling on top of batter; again, do not mix. Bake at 325 degrees for about an hour, until golden.
This past weekend we had a family dinner celebrating hubby's birthday. I made his favorite main dish "Mock Enchilada" and daughter Heidi made his favorite cakes, Carrot Cake & Lemon Poke Cake... yummy family favorites for years! Daughter Shelli made these darling huge tissue pompom's!
I will be leaving these up for quite awhile! ~ Mock Enchilada ~ 1 lb. lean beef or turkey 1 diced onion 1 package of Fritos 1 large can Denison's Chili & Beans 1 small can Denison's Chili con Carney (optional) 1 pint of sour cream 1 package shredded cheese garlic salt to taste Brown meat, garlic salt & onion together, drain. Add chili to mixture. Layer in a 9x13 inch pan:meat mixture, Fritos, cheese. Repeat once more. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Top each serving with a dab of sour cream. ***Always a family favorite for birthday dinners!
I just received these darling dishwashing gloves that I bought on Etsy! Kellie did a great job making them...the gloves and fabric are so soft and SUGAR COOKIES and LOVE are on the sleeves. They will make doing the dishes a happy experience now!
What is your favorite chore?
Mine is laundry! I love to load up my washer with my homemade laundry detergent! My recipe is on the sidebar. I also love to garden. Is that a chore? xo
I made some Birthday gift bags for some much needed girlfriend time this week! Birthday luncheons are the best! Added a embellished tinkered clip from Elyse~Cottage.
Remember the chandelier sconces I bought a couple months ago? Hubby hung them for me this weekend and I LOVE them above the buffet table! The woman I bought them from at Matilda's Mouse Barn Sale said they are from New York. They add a sweet glow when evening arrives. The cords do not bother me at all, it adds to the romance of the era they were used!
Now for some exciting news! Next week I will be attending another one of Kari's Tea Parties! The theme is St. Patrick's Day. I promise to take LOTS of pictures! Stay turned!
Now time to take a little break and have a sweet cup of herbal tea... and a little shout out to Leslie and her family and the sisters of daughter Shelli's Relief Society!
