When the Cat is Away, the Mice Play!

A girl cannot have enough bling! Hubby (the Cat) was out of town when I and the dogs (the Mice) were getting ready for bedtime. When he is out of town, I always turn the TV on in the family room for sound/comfort during the night and it's always QVC or HSN because it is LIVE. As I turned HSN on, there they were...the bling was the Today's Special, designer R.J. Graziano's creation! And 2 Easy Payments! Yes, I took the bait! It is a fun set and matches up great with my Brighton jewelry!

Luckily they were not expensive at all! 15 bracelets in the set!

The Feather Duster & Hailey Mae

My little granddaughter Hailey Mae had a sleep~over with me this weekend. She is a darling 8 year old and so domestic! I saw her standing at my studio door with a smile on her face and a feather duster in her hand, then she closed the door. She was in there for quite a while. Taking a peek, she was a busy bee dusting everything and putting things in place. She loves to be in there and has her own little desk to create! After several minutes she came to me and led me to my studio! It was so neat and tidy! She pointed to my dress form and there was the feather duster being held by the "blouse" and tucked in the pocket, a precious reminder of her loving gesture! She got lots of kisses & hugs and a big Popsicle! Fresh and piping hot from my studio and now in my Sassy Sadie Lee Etsy shop!

Wild Thing, You Make My Heart Sing!

Update: We had her for a month as her wing healed and tail feathers grew back. We then we let her go! She flew and soared with delight!

This sweet little wild morning dove has become a part of our family for the time being or longer. I noticed her a couple weeks ago for the first time and many times after as I was gardening. I thought she liked visiting me! Two days ago, I noticed she didn't fly when I approached her, so I scooped her up. She is in good health but cannot fly. Maybe she needs to grow back some feathers to do so. Most of her tail feathers are gone. Her wings are not broken and she is eating & drinking quite well. I temporally put her in my wood birdhouse and will buy her a new cage this week. I went to the feed store to get her seeds and the store owner told me they make wonderful pets. They are very mild, cuddly and make sweet sounds. I will keep you posted on how she does!

For now, she makes everything groovy! Wild thing!

The Little Guest Bathroom

Here is the little Guest Bathroom I promised to share.

It is right next to the Guest Bedroom I shared in the last post. I am thinking I would like to do some wall papering in here... A hand painted candle.This is a sweet mirror my sister-in-law Sandy made me about 30 years ago.

Our Little Guest Room

I just did a re-do on our little guest room! We have 5 bedrooms but this is our only guest room because the other rooms are being used as a office for hubby, my craft room, a music room and our master bedroom.

I do not have any blue in our home but always wanted to use it, so I used it in the guest room and guest bathroom.

I LOVE the Danish look of blue and yellow. Crisp and fresh.

My inspiration was the plate & linen, then I ran with it! The plate!

Our ceilings in our home are 10 ft. high, so I have some tweaking still!

Love using vintage linens and crystal.
