Cinnamon Honey Butter!

My favorite restaurant in my hometown serves the best Texas (I live in CA!) BBQ chicken & sweet potato/yams with the best~ever cinnamon honey butter! The buttered yam just melts in your mouth! I found a recipe that taste just like it!!! So I made some BBQ chicken in a crock pot and baked up a big yam for hubby and I! Heaven!
I just had to share the cinnamon honey butter recipe with you! Bake a yam (I bought a large one and cut it in half) like you would a baked potato wrapped in foil for about 1 hour at 350 degrees. Poke holes in foil for venting. It should be tender when done.

Baked to perfection!
For the BBQ chicken, use 3-4 chicken breast and 1 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce.
Put into crock pot.
Bake on low for 7-8 hrs. or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken pulls apart.
For the Cinnamon Honey Butter mix together:
1 pound butter, 1/4 cup honey, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Mix together in mixer about 5-7 minutes. Chill.

~Alton Brown, Food Channel

I cut the recipe in half.
Enjoy!
I know you will !

Love it...:)
I have put homemade honey butter in a cute little half pint jar to go with fresh bread or rolls for a gift.
I wrap the bread in a dishtowel with a little bit if fabric trim or applique and it really makes a fun gift.

Hi, I decided to stop being shy and start commenting on all the blogs I love. I think it might be the best way to go forward with my own blog and learn how to develop it. I'm sorta intimidated by it, but thought I'd reap inspiration from blogs such as yours. This is a good place to start because I love Honey Butter! Thanks. ~Violet~

Thank you so much for the recipe! I bought several sweet potatoes to cook this week. Hubby is out planting the eyes off some other sweet potatoes today. So hopefully we will have plenty this year! I have never served baked sweet potatoes with BBQ chicken, just steak. I always bake BBQ chicken, sounds very tender in the crock pot! I have to try this and the wonderful Cinnamon Butter Recipe! I just love your blog so much! I loved when you were sick your daughter gave an update on your health. I want one of those vintage campers so much! I traveled/working the Southern States in a 40 foot motor home for 10 months out of the year for five years. Now I long for just a small vintage camper to just travel some! I do love yours and all your friends Vintage Camper! I hope to own one by next summer! You are a true inspiration to me! Love visiting your blog so, so much!
