Soups On!

Even tho I live in Sunny California, we have had some cold and rainy days! Thankful for and welcomed rain. I LOVE a rainy day so for a cozy comfort food I made some homemade chicken soup. Seems to hit the spot every time. I bought these white ceramic serving trays at HomeGoods recently and the china, a serving for 12 (YES, more plates!)I bought several years ago at an antique store. While making the soup I had a "aah~ha" moment for picture taking! A girl and her PINK camera!

Love the trays. Great idea for a photo. I had soup tonight, too, although I bet my 30 degrees beats your cold in California!

You'll have prettier flowers, though!

Yummers! This soup has a story behind it for my little family. The four of us were sick the beginning of December, it was the horrible flu bug. We could barely move. We called Mom (Mj) and Dad to ask if they could bring us popsicles and Gatorade. Not only did Mom bring us those things we asked for, she brought her homemade chicken soup and saltines crackers (among other things...jello and stuff!). Here comes Mom walking to the door with a big pot of her yummy soup! I'm so glad we live in the same town! We asked her to slide it to the front door mat as we did not want her to get sick by our flu germs! I wanted to HUG her at the door. She spoiled us and we felt so much better eating Mom's HUGE pot of soup for the next couple of days. Thanks MOM! We LOVE you and your thoughtful heart! xo

P.S. Mom has also made this soup for her sick friends and friends struggling with cancer. They LOVE it and I get teary-eyed thinking of it. I was even at her home one day when her friend brought the pot back thanking her for her soup during difficult times. Charity NEVER Faileth! If you SERVE you will be H.A.P.P.Y!
