Oh My! Chicken Pot Pie!

I was visiting Tina at Cherry Hill Cottage where she shared this yummy comfort food recipe I just had to make! Oh My, was it easy and yummy! The house smelled so good and hubby LOVED it to!
It's homemade and made with love!
I had a couple of gals ask...so here goes!
The Turquoise 4 qt. dutch oven is from the Martha Stewart Collection. I bought it & pink dish(s)from HomeGoods, my favorite place to shop! Bread Tin, at Tom's Farms here in CA. Chicken Pot Pie

3 cups cut-up boiled chicken breast (about 4)
1 1/2 cup chicken broth (broth from chicken breast or can)
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 16 oz. frozen mixed vegetables (thawed or warmed)
1 onion chopped
1 stick of butter
*
(A little change I made to the recipe)
Saute' onions in extra butter until soft.
*
Mix all the above and pour into a greased casserole dish.
*
Mix 1 1/4 cups Bisquick, 1 stick melted butter, and 1 cup milk. Pour mixture over above chicken mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until golden brown.
Enjoy! xo

Looks great and I cannot believe it, but that is my recipe! I even soften the onions a bit as well, lol! There is nothing like a chicken pot pie on a cold winter's evening.
I really like the pot you cooked it in :0) I'll have to go check out Cherry HIll and see her post. I've been mia for a bit, so I'm just catching up this week.

Oh thank goodness I found you! I came to visit you after you posted a comment on my blog the other day and my laptop went wonky and I just now remembered that I had lost someone and needed to find her! So back I go to my last post and ta-da! There you were!

I really thought that I had put a comment on your blog but I'm guessing that was when I started typing and my laptop lost it's connection.

Well, now that I have found you, I'm not gonna let you go! LOL

Deanna :)

P.S. I made a copy of the recipe! I'll eat a small portion!

That looks absolutely divine, and what makes it even better is that you cooked it in that great turquoise blue pot! If that disappears, it might be vacationing in a magpie nest. ;-)

I'll be back to read more!

Hi Maryjane,

I have to admit this does look good! Alas, I don't like chicken pot pie. Growing up it was served at our house quite often, but my mom always called it "chicken potty Pie". Why in the world would she serve us food with chicken potty in it? To this day I just can't get that picture out of my mind.
Looks like your having lots of fun!
