Karmen's Shabby Chic Vintage Trailer!

I just got back from a Sisters on the Fly trip! We stayed at Camp James, Kernville, CA right on the Kern River! This is a yearly trip that the CA sisters don't want to miss. I wanted to show you Karmen's DARLING shabby chic 1957 Jewel vintage travel trailer. Her trailer is my trailers TWIN but done up shabby! It's the sweetest! Karmen knows how to host a party at her little campsite! It's like a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" experience! So fun!
Thanks Karmen! xo

oh wowzers!!!! this is sooo cool! I have an Aljo-not sure yet of the age but the exterior and the interior are nearly the same except my stove & sink are swithced. Mind doesnot have the rounded edge on the cabinets so mine might be a year or two newer?
MaryJane, thanx for posting pic's of Karmen's cutie,,,it gives me some great ideas for decorating.
Is Jewel made by Aljo?

Glad you had a safe trip---do several of you go together? How many gathered at the destination point? Do members come from all over the US? I'll stop, I know I'm being really nosey--I just think it's wonderful!!!

Oh Miss Maryjane what great pictures of Karmen's trailer!! You really caught the true feeling of being inside. Karmen was the "hostess with the mostess" when she invited me to spend our first night at Kern as her guest as well as with the delightful breakfast. It was just too bad that we couldn't finish all of that fantastic food.

I am sooooo glad that you were able to be there - it made everyone's weekend. You have the sweetest, kindest, caring and loving heart of anyone I know. Thanks for spreading your light with all of us.

Hugs,

Sue #911

Hi Maryjane, I am soooooo glad you made it to Kern!!! It would not have been the same without you. These pics of Karmen's trailer are great. You girlys inspired me to make my own blog. It looks a bit masculine, especially since I am in fly fishing gear :). Hopefully I will soon learn how to add cute backgrounds to mine. Sister love to you. Janet 511

Hi Maryjane, I just saw this blog, and wanted to say that we used to go to the Kernville Hot Rod Run every year in October and stayed at the campground next door! It was called "Rivernook Campground" - its fun seeing all those beautiful trailers - I would just love to re-do ours! Have fun!

LOVE this site, love the music, so sad it made me cry! so many memories of years long gone!

Thank you for allowing me to revisit my childhood! Shabby chic girl here, I've painted every antique I could find, devalued every piece, made them white and oh so shabby chic! I love the look!
Thanks again, I will visit often, the music is hauntingly beautiful!
