Window Box & Barrel Planting

Here are some pictures I took of wonderful ideas for window box & barrel planting when I was in McCall, Idaho. I use barrels in my backyard and have umbrella's in each one around the pool.
I just love this rustic look for outdoors! XO

Hey Maryjane, it's me again, I was looking at the pictures of your beautiful home and your house looks so familiar, I am wondering if we were neighbors and didn't know it...I used to live on Chisolm Trail just off of Washington Ave....all the homes are single level with nice big yards. Do you know Becky Stabile, she's a quilter and lives around the corner from where I lived. Did you used to shop at Crow's Hollow the best shop in the world? If you did I'm sure you are sad like me to see it's gone. Anyhoo, just wondering!

Hi Maryjane, thank you so much for stopping by my new blog. It's so nice of you to buy a cookbook, God Bless you for that!
This porch is beautiful, I love rustic too! The barrels look so pretty all planted up. The ones with the umbrella sound adorable! BTW do you remember the name of the person you bought your pretty apron from on your last Pink Sat.
Blessings, Shirl

Oh my goodness!!!yes it is a small world!!!screaming too!!!!! I knew I recognized your floor plan!! I had plan #3. Robert Stabile was our realitor when we bought the home in Murrieta and then he sold it for us just before we moved to Missouri. That's how I met Becky. Because my family is still out there, we bought a little cottage out in Harveston on the lake, and Becky made me the most beautiful quilt as a housewarming gift!! How lucky was I!! Before we moved she also gave me a Ollieberry plant and jam. The jam is long gone but the plant is thriving here in the Ozarks! This is so amazing! Do you know Erin and Jeeter McAlpin? They live just two doors down from my house and are the sweetest people ever! Jeeter is a firefighter and Erin, a stay at home mom. Erin has a booth at Rooster Creek.

How fun is that?!!!

What an amazing porch! I love the barrels and window boxes, and have been yearning for some iron window boxes with a cocoa lining just like those. I'm hoping they will go on sale at Wally World near the end of the season.

I had never thought of putting umbrellas in barrels! Great idea! I might try that for a conversation area in the yard.
