I loved the rainbow snowcones! Maryjane, I just love looking at the photos of the little campers. Such artists in this group! Have yourself a wonderful holiday weekend! blessings, Kathleen
Oh snowcones, that takes me way back. Those were the good ole days. I must confess though that I still love ice cream and have to be careful and not buy it all the time or I will eat it. There are so many wonderful kinds out, I just tried a Summer Peach Pie with little pieces of crust, it was only 4.5 grams of fat per serving which is not bad for ice cream. It was deliciouso!!!Hugs,LeAnn:)
It was a plain, old fudgesicle for me! Still is in fact. Only now it's Healthy Choice instead of the ice cream men's fare. :)That snowcone does look yummy though.
We went out for our favourite last night - Dairy Queen Peanut Buster Parfait :-} Yum!
I love your blog!Denise Fontaine Nantasket Beach Mass
Oh Ice cream, I still love to hear the ice cream van today..... I used to enjoy a '99 cone', whipped vanilla ice cream with a piece of cadbury flake, they still do them now, although I bet they are not 99pence anymore! I remember getting a scoup of ice cream in a cone as a child, I went to lick it, and the man hadnt pushed it in the cone enough and it all fell onto the floor!!! ha,ha I was bought another of course! ahhh memories....Priscilla x
My favorite was the Dreamscicle!! And then the Push-Up! Yummmmmmm!!
Hi Maryjane,Oh I love your posts! So darling! Let's see...by the time I came around (1961) it was the Carnation man in the Carnation truck and my favorites where always the ice cream sandwiches. You can eat them without getting your fingers sticky :)I hope you have agreat 4th! I'm sure I'll stop back by before then.:0 Cori
I remember "Hazel's Country Store" in West Virginia where we would get an ice cream out of an old freezer. I loved those orange push ups too with the colorful cardboard wrapper. What a wonderful memory! Thank you.And I can't believe that was Sister on the Fly in Country Living! How exciting! Believe me, I'm looking for my trailer!Smiles,Lea
Oh Maryjane....Snowcones!!!! I loved those- the red ones. It didn't matter what the flavor was, as long as they were red!Homemade icecream was such a treat-we had one of those ice cream freezers with the wooden bucket- had to be cranked by hand, of course. My favorite was vanilla, but when I got a little older, peppermint was my favorite flavor....still is today.Hope you have a wonderful Fourth!Hugs,Pam
Maryjane, I love your blogsite! I'm adding it to my list of favorites on my blogsite! My favorite ice cream as a kid was vanilla that I mixed up with birthday cake! Now, it's almost ANY ice cream! I just love those fixed up trailers too - I always wanted to buy a teardrop and make it into a "Honeymoon Suite" to rent to newlyweds! But never did it. Have a great July Fourth!Marilyn
Hi maryjane, I liked sidewalk sundaes..do you remember them? chocolate and vanilla ice cream on a stick? mmmmm....what I would do for one of them right now...
Hi Mom! My favorite ice cream is chocolate peanut butter! YUMMY......I could eat a gallon!!!!!Love you!
Buttercram frosting...I mean bubble gum or mint and chip. I remember when you and dad would take us to a store and and we would get cone with our favorite icecream! It was always freezing in there! :)
Because milk makes me gag (but I love ice cream?) my ice cream has to have lots of "stuff" in it.Like nuts, chocolate chips, cookies, etc.I was a popsicle girl as a child (when the ice cream truck came around!)My mother didn't buy ice cream....Blessings,Julie
I just remembered... my granddaddy used to buy me "Slush Puppies" when I was really little! Did you ever have those? Yum!!!!We all still love Icee's! Both of those are very much like snowcones!blessings, julie
I loved brown cows when I was growing up. My kids love snow cones but we are cheap and got our own machine to make them...lol
I still love ice cream and I guess vanilla is my favorite, but I've never "met" and ice cream that I didn't like!
