SUMMER is in the air! Can you feel it? I love going to the beach and soaking in the rays (well, under an umbrella these days!) and relaxing. I find the ocean very healing & uplifting. I love to listen to the waves, ponder, read and count my blessings. I love digging my toes into the warm sand and feeling the ocean waves pushing against my back. My favorite part is the beautiful orange & pink sunsets and glistening water. A wonderful way to end a day! What a beautiful earth our Father in Heaven has created!
I have wonderful memories of taking the kids to the beach and camping out for two weeks straight filled with relaxation, laughter & fun! Then with baskets filled with treasures of the sea, it is time to go home! Memories to carry in our hearts until the following year. Ahhhh, summer is in the air again!

The Jessie Wilcox Smith picture is the perfect one for your post. I do miss the sound of the ocean. We only get to hear it when we visit my sister in Fla. There is nothing better than going to the beach late in the day, hunting shells and dipping your toes in the water. I hope I get to the beach this summer. If not, I will live vicariously through you. Okay?

Yep..after growing up at the beach I do miss it a little. We got some beach time at the lake last Friday..a girlfriend and I took all our little kids..her 5 and my 4 and we sure had fun for the day.
I adore the music on your blog right now..just perfect!!
I am off to cubscout day camp tomorrow..that will keep me out of trouble for the day!!
If I come to CAlif I will sure plan to get together with ya..don't know if it is gonna happen this summer though. UNLESS one of my big boys decides to get married this summer. Wouldn't that be cool???
The kids and I are in the Manti Mormon Miracle pageant this month..lots of work and lots of fun..we do it each year...if you ever come out here this way be sure to visit!
I just adore your little trailer. Someday .........

Going to the beach would be wonderful We are high, dry and hot in Texas. So, hot one cannot be outdoors for very long.

Maryjane, you brought back such sweet memories for me talking about taking your children to the beach. We used to travel to the beach every year with our 3 young children. It was an all day and into the night drive into Galveston. We stayed on the beach in our RV and just had to most wonderful times. My favorite memories are when my daughter and I would wake up at 6:00 am and tiptoe out without waking the others. We would comb the beach for treasures. I really miss those times now that my daughter has gone away( how I wish I had the chance to do that one more time!). You are right, there is just something soothing about the waves and the sunsets. blessings, Kathleen

Hi Mary Jane
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. You asked me to put you on the invite list. Did you mean that you are going to post pictures of your porch tomorrow and want me to add you to the links on my blog so others can visit you? Let me know. Otherwise just stop by tomorrow and everyone who is hosting a porch party will be listed there.
